Government announcement: Government Announces Tightening of New Health Measures
Hours after restricting its own activities, the Quebec government has announced a tightening of new health measures in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant.
The new sanitary measures taken:
- Theatres must cease all activities as of 5:00 p.m. tonight, December 20.
- For the moment the closure is for an indefinite period, but we will work with our government colleagues to seek a minimum of interruptions at this point, but in our opinion, one should not have to wait for the beginning of January (we are being told at least January 10th) to be able to know what is going to happen. . The holiday season has not been a time of respite in the virus in the past.
- Rehearsals can continue, as can recordings.
- Both the CALQ and SODEC support measures remain in place and will be adjusted to meet everyone's needs. There will be a interval between the announcement of the resumption and the official resumption during which you will be able to benefit from 100% of the CALQ support measures.
Important : working from home is once again mandatory for office work.
