- The Act with respect to the professional status of artists in the visual arts, arts and crafts and literature and their contracts with presenters.
The Ministry invites representative associations or groups, artists, producers and presenters directly or indirectly covered by either of the two acts to submit a brief or respond to a questionnaire, or to submit by both means, using the online platform.

Departure of Sophie Devirieux
It is with sadness that the CQT team and its Board of Directors accepts the decision of Sophie Devirieux to leave her post as Head of Research and Policy Strategies. Sophie has been a key player in the management of the health crisis we are currently experiencing. She used her excellent judgment, her seasoned writing skills and her in-depth knowledge of the sector's issues for the benefit of the CQT and its members for the past several months. Sophie has chosen to devote herself to other challenges which have come her way and we wish her the best of luck. We are certain that we will have the opportunity to collaborate with her again in the future.

Call for Applications — Indigenous Theatre Artist Residency
Submission Deadline – January 31, 2021
Centaur Theatre, in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal (CAM), has launched a call for submissions for a year-long Indigenous Artist Residency for those interested in telling stories that reflect the Indigenous heritage of the Island of Montreal and the Province of Quebec.
“Our goal in creating this residency is to uncover untold Indigenous stories that are part of the fabric of the history of Tio’tia:ke/Montreal and Kanyen’kehà:ka/Quebec. We want to prioritize the voices of Indigenous artists that have a connection to the land and history that our theatre occupies, in an effort to expand our knowledge and appreciation, and include those voices and the incredible wealth of collective knowledge that they embody.”
– Eda Holmes, Artistic and Executive Director, Centaur Theatre Company
